Immunofiltration Membranes
Our immunofiltration nitrocellulose membrane is cast on a cellulose paper for flow through diagnostic test kits and quantitative detection of proteins. With point-to-point uniformity and inter-lot consistency, this is a preferred membrane for making antibody detection tests, especially HIV and HCV test kits.
Blood Separator
Nupore blood separator (Type RBS) is a special kind of sample pad for blood samples. It restricts RBCs and allows only plasma to rapidly pass onto the membrane. These are uniquely engineered to allow higher plasma recovery with small sample volume.
Lateral Flow Membranes
The Nitrocellulose membrane is the most pivotal part of a rapid test kit as this is where the antigen–antibody binding occurs. Manufactured under strictly controlled conditions, Nupore membranes are cast on transparent polyester backing and offer highly consistent results, reliable inter-lot performance, and sharp control/test lines with minimal non-specific background signal.
Membrane Laminates
Nupore laminates consist of NC membrane and other pads attached to a PVC/HIPS plastic backing using an adhesive. These are used for application of reagents and later cut into strips for the lateral flow test development.
Other Rapid Test Components
Sample Pad
The glassfiber sample pad is the part where the sample (urine, blood etc) is introduced to the test strip. It promotes even and controlled distribution of the sample onto the conjugate pad and prevents non-specific binding. Nupore GP-04 pads are available in standard thickness of 0.6mm.
Conjugate Pad
The conjugate pad is made of non-woven polyester and acts as a reservoir for detection conjugate. When sample flows into the conjugate pad, the conjugate moves from the pad to the sample and the 'conjugate-analyte' complex passes to the nitrocellulose membrane. Nupore PT conjugate pad has minimal additives so that user may include additives as per requirements.
Absorbent Pads
These are located at the downstream end of test and allows for increased volume of sample that can enter the test strip. These are hydrophilic in nature & have excellent absorbent capacity, and thus absorb the extra volume of sample. Type SP-08 are provided in customized length and width.
